The Woman’s Garden is a gift to the Arboretum from the Women’s Council of Dallas.  These gardens were designed to celebrate the strength, courage, creativity and nurturing demeanor of women.

Dallas Womans Garden at the Dallas Arboretum. The lovely lithe dancing nymph opens into the impressive Woman’s Garden.
The formal garden was designed in 1997 by landscape architect Morgan Wheelock. A Woman’s Garden is comprised of several smaller gardens including the Pecan Parterre, the Poetry Garden and the Majestic Allee where visitors can view White Rock Lake.

Dallas Woman’s Garden of the Dallas Arboretum.
The Woman’s Garden was implemented in two phases.  The second phase opened to the public spring 2006. The bridge is native Texas limestone bridge; it includes a 140-foot hanging garden and a wellspring surrounded by towering Dawn Redwoods.
